Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This version takes effect for existing members on October 11, 2026. Until then, the previous version applies to you.
Your ideas are confidential. Your data is yours. This policy explains what EntreDash collects, why, who helps us run the service, how long we keep things, and what you can do about all of it.
EntreDash, Inc. ("EntreDash", "we") is the company responsible for your data. We are a Delaware corporation based in Dallas, Texas. Reach us at privacy@entredash.com or by mail at 3723 Greenville Avenue STE 45690, Dallas, TX 75206, United States.
What we collect
- Account and profile: your name, and the email address or mobile number you sign in with. If you sign in by phone, a contact email so we can reach you. Profile details you choose to add: country, state or province, city, profession, education level, technical background, areas of interest and preferred currency.
- Your invention work: everything you create, including idea descriptions and versions, advisor sessions, memos, design breakdowns and drawing briefs, customer discovery, business canvases, prior-art search strategies and reports, planning, monitoring, tags, collections, your notes and your highlights on memos and lessons, your invention log entries with their earlier versions, saved versions of your design breakdown, conception narratives written for you, and anything you upload, including log photos and files. For each printed or downloaded log we keep a check record (its date, entry count and fingerprints, never its contents) so the copy can be checked later. It is confidential and visible only to you. Our AI advisors do not read your notes or your invention log. The one exception is a conception narrative: when you ask for one, the AI reads that idea's log entries and design breakdown to write it.
- Pathway Navigator: if you use it for an idea, we keep your session answers (such as where you live and invented it, who owns it, any public disclosure and its date, your markets, budget and goals), every strategy version written from them, and your questions to the filing strategist with its answers. The AI reads these, with that idea's IP memo and prior-art findings, to write your strategy and answer your questions. Our weekly check of patent office rules reads only the offices' public pages, never your answers.
- People who witness your log: if you ask someone to witness log entries, the person who signs gives us their name, their email and, if they choose, how they know you. We keep these with the signature, along with the date and which entry versions they signed. If you have us email the invite, we keep the address you typed only until the request is signed, cancelled or expires. A witness sees your name, the idea's title and the text of the entries you chose, never your photos, files or the rest of your log.
- Connected accounts: if you connect Google Drive or Notion to export memos, we store the access credentials they give us, with an extra layer of encryption, plus your Notion workspace name and a record of each memo you send there (where it went and its link). You can disconnect at any time.
- Billing: if you buy a plan or a pack, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details. We never see or store full card numbers. We keep a record of what you bought, when, and for how much.
- Usage: which features you use and when, so we can run allowances and improve the product. We never use your invention content for this.
- Site visits: pages viewed, how you arrived, your country and your device type. We do not store your IP address for our own analytics.
- Advertising measurement, only if you accept: nothing from an advertising platform loads until you allow marketing in our cookie settings. If you do, Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit receive a narrow set of signals when you visit, sign up or buy: pages viewed, a one-way hash of your email or phone (never the address itself), your IP address, and for purchases the plan and price. They never receive idea or memo content. Change your choice any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
- How our public pages are used, only if you allow analytics: Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolling and page layout on our public marketing pages so we can fix what's confusing. It never runs inside your signed-in account, and it masks what you type. It has its own switch in cookie settings.
- Messages you send us: feedback, support emails, survey answers and feature requests.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
For members in the EU and UK, each use has a legal basis:
- Performing our contract with you: running your account and workspaces, generating the AI analysis and memos you ask for, researching your idea against public records, and sending the account and memo emails you need.
- Contract and our legal duty to keep tax records: taking payment and keeping billing records.
- Our legitimate interest: keeping the service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving features using aggregate usage patterns.
- Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: the newsletter and advertising measurement.
When we research your idea against patent, academic and web-search services, we send search terms drawn from it, not the idea itself.
What we will never do
- Sell your data to anyone.
- Share your invention content with anyone without your explicit consent. A memo share link is that consent: you make it, it shows one memo version and your name to whoever has the link, and you can revoke it at any time.
- Use your invention content to train AI models. Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from training on what we send them.
- Give idea or memo content to any advertising or analytics tool. This is enforced in code, not just in this policy.
- Read or look at your invention content, unless you choose to share it with us (for example, by pasting part of it into a support message). We handle support and investigate security issues using account, billing and activity records, never your ideas. The one exception is a valid court or government order that legally requires us to hand data over. If that ever happens, we will tell you first unless the law forbids it.
Who helps us run EntreDash
Each of these vendors processes data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.
- MindStudio (Remy), using Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage, and email and text-message delivery. Receives everything the app stores, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI: AI advisor sessions, memos, analysis, monitoring and conception narratives, including Google Gemini checking that a conversation stays on one invention. Receive only the content needed for each request, and may not train on it.
- Stripe: payments. Receives your name, email, plan, and the card details you enter with Stripe.
- Google Drive, only if you connect it: receives the memos you export, and holds your Google credentials.
- Notion, only if you connect it: receives the memos you send, in the pages and databases you choose on Notion's own screen. EntreDash can't see anything else in your workspace.
- Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit: advertising measurement, only if you accept. Receive the signals described above.
- Microsoft Clarity: public-page analytics, only if you allow analytics. Sees public pages only, never account content.
- Beehiiv: newsletter delivery. Receives your email and name, only if you subscribe.
- Patent and research databases (USPTO, European Patent Office, Google Patents, PQAI, OpenAlex, PubMed): prior-art search. Receive search terms only, never account data.
- Google News, through our platform's search service: news for your ideas in Signals. Receives a few short, general keywords about your idea's field. Your description, the new part of your invention, your name and your account are never sent.
The platform's own subprocessors are listed on the MindStudio Trust Center. We update this list before any new vendor receives your personal data.
Where your data is kept
Our servers are in the United States, so your data is stored and processed there. If you are in the EU, the UK or elsewhere, your data is transferred to the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by our vendors.
How long we keep it
- Your account and all your invention work, including your notes, highlights and invention log: until you delete it, or delete your account. Removing a log entry hides it but keeps it in your record; deleting the idea or your account erases the log, its files, its narratives and design versions, its witness requests and signatures, and its check records, so a printed check code then says the record can't be found.
- Pathway Navigator answers, strategies and strategist chat: until you delete the idea or your account, which erases them.
- Witness signatures: kept with the log they belong to, and erased with it. A witness link stops working when it is signed, cancelled or expires; the invite email address is deleted at that point.
- Memo share links you create, and how often each was opened: until you revoke them or delete your account. A link stops working when it expires or is revoked.
- Something you delete: removed from the app right away, and from backups when the platform's backup copies expire.
- Billing and purchase records: 7 years, for tax.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address and the date, so we never email you again.
- Security and admin audit records: kept, with personal details such as email addresses removed after 3 years.
Your choices and rights
Everyone can, at any time:
- Download everything you've created as one file, from Settings → Privacy.
- Correct your profile, from Settings.
- Delete any idea, or your whole account, from Settings. Deleting your account removes your ideas and everything attached to them, cancels any active subscription and disconnects Google and Notion. We keep only billing records for tax, and an unsubscribe record so we never email you again.
- Stop marketing from the link in any email, or in Settings.
- Turn advertising measurement on or off from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
If you are in the EU, the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict how we use it, to object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interest, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what we did before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If you live in a US state with a privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have similar rights to know, access, correct and delete your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We don't sell personal data. Advertising measurement only runs if you accept it, and declining or withdrawing in Cookie preferences opts you out.
To use any right the app doesn't handle directly, email privacy@entredash.com from the address on your account. We'll confirm it's you and respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and your work is visible only to your account, checked on our servers on every request. Sign-in uses one-time codes, so there are no passwords to leak. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you directly and follow the notification timelines the law requires. Read more on our Trust & Security page, or report a concern to security@entredash.com.
Children
You must be at least 16 to use EntreDash. Members aged 16 or 17 may use EntreDash with a parent's or guardian's consent, and may buy a subscription or make a purchase only with that parent's or guardian's permission, using a payment method they have authorized. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has given us data, email privacy@entredash.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll email you at least 14 days before a material change takes effect, and update the date at the top. Continuing to use EntreDash after that date means you accept the updated policy.
